Dr. Santillan loves how being a pediatric dentist is able to help a child both in the short and long term. She can show them that the dentist is nothing to be scared of, get them out of pain, and give them a smile that looks as good as it feels. Then, she can watch her young patients grow and thrive at follow-up visits, and she’s always eager to hear about what’s going on in their lives. She can’t wait to form this kind of connection with your family, and you can start getting to know her below.
Dr. Santillan knew she wanted to become a dentist after volunteering at a Texas Mission of Mercy event while attending Texas Tech. She saw firsthand the disparity of access to care within low-income families, and this inspired her to join the dental field. The joy of working with children and seeing how much dentistry could improve their lives motivated her to specialize in pediatrics.
After graduating from Texas Tech University, Dr. Santillan went on to earn her dental degree from the Texas A&M College of Dentistry. She then completed years of advanced training focused entirely on meeting the dental needs of patients ages 0-18. This not only gives her unique expertise when it comes to relating to children and treating their rapidly changing mouths, but she also has extensive experience serving kids with a variety of special needs.
Originally from Garland, TX, Dr. Santillan likes to spend her free time working out, doing jigsaw puzzles, trying new restaurants, watching shows/movies, and hanging out with friends and family.
